FAQs
-
Our Lab Groups are completely inclusive spaces. Anyone who is passionate about challenging their beliefs, exploring through ambiguity and uncertainty, and embracing a growth mindset is welcome. Our focus is on creating a diverse and inclusive environment that encourages open dialogue and collaboration.
-
Absolutely! We understand that some individuals may prefer to join the Zoom just to listen and absorb the discussions without actively participating in every session. Your presence and willingness to engage with the topics are valuable contributions to the collective learning experience.

We use a few digital tools for our Lab groups!
1. Our Digital Community
This private community is a place for all members to asynchronously interact and share. Here, you'll find a feed where you can share thoughts, questions, articles, or even longer-form ideas. This is also where you can keep track of and RSVP for future virtual live Lab sessions.
2. Zoom
While someday we hope to have all our members gather IRL for a Lab Group event, we gather for our regular sessions on Zoom. Many members are on-camera and speaking during sessions, but some members choose to participate off-camera, by Zoom chat, or even listening on mute.
3. Digital Whiteboard
When we collaborate and co-create as a group, we generally use Miro. Our work is open-source and transparent.

No, you don't have to commit to attending every session. We encourage an open and flexible approach. Feel free to join the Women@Work Lab Group sessions that align with your attention and availability. This is a space where you can come and go as you please, contributing your insights whenever you're present. RSVP to whatever lab sessions you can make here so we know how many to expect, but there are no commitment requirements.

Mind Palace
Our Mind Palaces are a way for us to enter the space in a thoughtful yet engaging way. From playful brainstorms about magazine headlines for Women@Work to a dissection of our understanding of words like "power," "natural," and "bravery," the Mind Palaces put us in the right headspace to connect and explore together.
Community Updates
This is a section of the Lab time that is open to all - if anybody has anything they'd like to bring up to the group, or if community organizers have any announcements or upcoming schedule changes, this is when they will do it.
Rabbit holes
This is the exciting part of the group discussion! Here, we'll explore any of a wide range of topics, including agency, parenthood, societal expectations for women, the history and status quo of womanhood, feminism, women's health, finances, DEIB, LGBTQIA+ rights, agism, and more. Our goal is to explore diverse perspectives and challenge existing norms in the workplace.
This is also where some members may "show and tell" thoughts, work, or relevant observations - this sparks invaluable conversation and it is absolutely encouraged!
Ending Mind Palace
To wrap things up, we usually end with a simple Mind Palace that leaves us with hope. Often, it's a question about what members feel most grateful for leaving the session.
-
Join our digital community! Once there, you'll have access to all of the conversations and articles that members share, as well as the dates, times, and RSVP links for future virtual live Lab sessions and Liminal Space sessions.
Not sure which lab group to start with? No need to decide right now! We invite you to join our digital community to stay up to date and explore more. Whether you are an individual seeking personal growth or a leader in an organization with an eye on social innovation, we are the home for all of your liminal spaces.
